New Art
My Bio & Portfolio
Born, Sean Linell Patton (later changed to Sean Linell Ivy) in Shreveport, Louisiana (Cedar Grove). Being militarily raised and becoming a Navy/Marine Combat Corpsman (Combat Medic) and now an Honorably discharged Veteran has made me well rounded. I've traveled this unique and blessed world seeing great and even strange things which in some way, reflects in my works. Being with, living amongst and being raised around multiple and diverse cultures helped mold my artistic skills, hoping to use the beautiful hues of who we are upon the canvas, wall, or whatever surface worthy of true art! We are like a divine, pleasantly colorful and dreamy rainbow, stretching into the skies of life, unto the right hand of God's promise.
BEHIND THE NAME, "OLUGBODI":
Within ancient Alkebulan or African traditions (and recognized in other remote locations) the Nigerian term "Oruko Amutorunwa," which means "predestined or heaven sent" name (Yoruba name) is a high and divine honor. The oruko amutorunwa name, "Olugbodi," is a title stamped upon my spiritual destiny of humanitarian prosperity, abundance (owo aje), creativity, luck, unique peculiarity, blessings, visions and of the gifted as if anything touched turns into "diamonds and gold!" (note: in Igbo & Yoruba traditions, one destined of this path is titled "Ohuu," meaning the "holy servant or slave" of God; being set apart unto Him; a servant of visions and sure dreams).
With that said, being given the predestined gift from an Omnipotent Source that is greater than I and us all... the gifts that we all are blessed with must be divinely used and expressed for His mysterious workings and not our own... just be glad He blessed us with something we love, even though we may battle with this from time to time with hopes to prevail in the end. Let's work as one, cohesively using and expressing the gifts we have, even presenting what is produced from the hobbies we love!
Faith and works are twins that should not work separate, but rather together as purposed, prevailing in consistency and perpetuality while avoiding the pernicious path. Travel upon the narrow path. - Discern.
